| citrus on it. Their sushi bar has a conveyer belt like the type used in manufacturing electronics gadgets instead of the classic boats. Despite trying to be bright and open, I found the restaurant to have a cold feeling to it, the place somehow lacks soul. I must add that the bar does make it possible to grab a quick bite of sushi before rushing in for a movie, but it’s not cheap. However, the sushi I ate (all without fruit on it) was decent, but the service was erratic.
Little Mad Fish is much more traditional, lots of the typical rolls and Maki’s. It’s trying less hard to have a theme and is rather just simply serving Japanese food. It’s clean and convenient; outside of that it does not appear to strive for anything more. The sushi has been decent, fresh and served by a friendly staff. Their prices have also been phenomenal with their Grand opening 30% off rolls special. The special has been going on for about two months and the staff does not know when it will end, so take advantage of it.
Bottom line, I doubt that I will return to Barracuda unless I’m going to see a movie and want a quick bite. While with Little Mad Fish I will likely visit them simply because I want sushi, especially with their existing discount. |
