Developer still not allowed to Flip Finger

The Finger Avenue, Redwood City development proposal has been riddled with controversy from day one. Neighbors have protested many aspects of the project and it now appears to have hit yet another wall.

Originally the plan to subdivide the 1.5 acres into 9 lots was rejected by the Planning Commission, but the City Council overturned the Commission’s ruling and approved the project.

Finger Street Poejct

On November 12, the Daily Journal reported that a suit was filed against Redwood City and the owner of the land. The suit claims that a proper environmental impact report which included 'feasible alternatives' was never completed. The issue is that some of the properties would be within 25 feet from Cordilleras creek. This violates a storm water control ordinance.

For more information and developments regarding the Finger Avenue project, visit the Redwood City’s website dedicated to this subject: Finger Street.
